ABOUT

Creating supportive and safe spaces for inner transformation and belonging.

Janne Kukka is a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, a Sound Journey Facilitator (using Himalayan singing bowls and gongs), a Ceremony Space Holder, and student of Ayurveda for holistic wellbeing.

After spending 15+ years designing and bringing products to market for seed stage to publicly traded tech companies, I noticed that my work was not impacting the human experience the way I was hoping. How could I actualize compassion and wellbeing in the workplace, at community centers, and in peoples homes and relationships? Karuna (compassion in action) breathes mindfulness into the everyday through practice. From 1:1 sessions to retreats, and with the assistance of technology, Karuna is committed to taking mindfulness off the cushion and into class and boardrooms alike.

I have attended multiple silent meditation retreats and have planned and facilitated both full scale programs and individual sessions at Silicon Valley tech companies, at a mental health clinic, and at men’s retreats.

I take a trauma-informed and inclusive approach to my sessions, where you can safely explore a variety of practices, such as cultivating awareness of the body, emotions, and thoughts, and compassion for self and others. Through these practices you can have a greater sense of inner wellbeing, that allows you to stay compassionately present to all of life's experiences.

“Inner transformation and belonging happens in connection with each other and the Earth.”
